This guide compares four ways to get from Gimpo International Airport to central Seoul: the AREX train and subway lines, airport limousine buses, city buses and taxis. Fares and timetables can change, so check the operators’ official pages listed under Sources before you go.

Airport Railroad (AREX) and Subway

From Gimpo International Airport, the AREX All-Stop Train takes approximately 23 minutes to Seoul Station.

Subway options include Lines 5 and 9, the Gimpo Goldline, and the Seohae Line. VisitKorea says the subway connects the airport with central Seoul and surrounding areas within about an hour.

Airport Limousine Bus

Airport Limousine Buses run from Gimpo International Airport to areas in Seoul. From the international terminal, exit through Gate 1 on the 1st floor for Platform 6 or 7.

From the domestic terminal, exit through Gate 6 on the 1st floor for Platform 3, 4, or 5. Platforms 13, 14, and 15 are reached through Gates 4, 5, or 6.

The ticket office is near Gate 1 on the 1st floor of the domestic terminal. VisitKorea lists cash, credit cards, and transportation cards as payment methods.

The airport’s route page lists bus 6101 to Surak and Nowon. It shows boarding at Domestic Terminal No. 5, with stops at Suraksan Station and Nowon Station. The page lists a cash fare of KRW 7,500 and says the route does not serve the international terminal.

City Bus

Seoul city buses make more stops than Airport Limousine Buses. At the international terminal, the city bus stop is on Platform 4 near Gate 3 on the 1st floor.

At the domestic terminal, city buses use Platform 2 or 6 near Gate 6. VisitKorea lists cash for certain destinations, credit cards except international cards, and transportation cards as payment methods.

Taxi

Standard, deluxe, jumbo, and international taxis are available. Taxi stands are by Exit 3 on the 1st floor of the international terminal and in front of Exit 6 of the domestic terminal.

International taxis require a reservation. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit cards, and transportation cards.
