Seoul Pop-Ups This Week: 9 Spots in Seongsu, Hongdae & Yeouido (October 2026)
October is one of Seoul’s best months to be outside — and the pop-up scene knows it. Right now, nine events across Seongsu, Hongdae, Yeouido, Yongsan, and Jung-gu are running simultaneously, covering everything from a major Banksy exhibition to a beauty mission experience to a Pikachu autumn installation draped in traditional Korean imagery. Some close this weekend. Others run until late November. Here’s what’s actually worth your time and how to route your day efficiently.
All information is based on confirmed schedules as of October 4, 2026. Operational details can change — always verify with official channels before heading out.

The 9 Events, Broken Down
Pikachu’s Autumn Outing (피카츄의 가을 나들이)
Venue: Korea Tourism Organization Hiker Ground (한국관광공사 하이커 그라운드), 40 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jung-gu
Dates: September 18 – October 11
This isn’t a standard character merch display. The concept layers Pikachu into traditional Korean minhwa (folk painting) aesthetics and autumn seasonal imagery — so the backdrops and props are doing real compositional work. The result is a space that photographs well in a way that feels specifically Korean rather than generic IP.
It’s a strong pick if you have kids in tow or if you’re specifically after a downtown Seoul location with built-in photo setups. Running until October 11, you have this week and one more weekend to catch it.
BANKSY: Still Here
Venue: The Hyundai Seoul ALT.1 (더현대 서울 ALT.1), 108 Yeoui-daero, Yeongdeungpo-gu
Dates: July 22 – November 3
Unlike most department store pop-ups, this one is genuinely exhibition-forward. The Banksy works and their accompanying messages are the point — not merchandise surrounding them. The curation pays attention to viewing distance and sightline flow between pieces, which makes it a more considered experience than you might expect inside a mall.
The practical bonus: it’s in the same building as the Hangeul Day Special Exhibition (see below), so you can hit two conceptually different shows in one visit without moving your car or your Naver Map.

2026 Adeokpe: iPark Mall Otaku Festival (2026 아덕페: 아이파크몰 덕후 페스티벌)
Venue: iPark Mall Yongsan (아이파크몰 용산점), 55 Hangang-daero 23-gil, Yongsan-gu
Dates: October 2 – October 11
“Adeokpe” is a contraction of 아이파크몰 덕후 페스티벌 — a festival for hobbyists and fandom culture. Cards, hobby goods, character merch, and photo zones are spread across the space in clearly zoned sections. If you’re into multiple fandoms at once, you’ll probably stay longer than planned. The venue is already inside one of Yongsan’s main malls, so you can easily combine this with other stops in the building.
Jump Shop Pop-Up (점프샵 팝업스토어)
Venue: Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam, Central 1F Open Stage (신세계백화점 강남점 센트럴 1층 오픈 스테이지), 176 Sinbanpo-ro, Seocho-gu
Dates: September 23 – October 6
Closes Tuesday. This is a goods-focused event for fans of manga and anime properties under the Jump label. There isn’t much in the way of immersive exhibition design — the draw is handling and buying the physical items directly. If you already know what you want, check stock availability through official channels before making the trip.
Attack on Titan Exhibition FINAL (진격의 거인展 FINAL)
Venue: LC TOWER DUEX Hongdae, 186 Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu
Dates: June 19 – November 1
This leans into exhibition format — key scenes and worldbuilding translated into physical space through wall graphics, sculptures, and lighting sequencing. It’s set up to follow the story’s arc rather than just display assets from the series. For non-fans curious about how IP-based exhibitions are designed, it’s actually a useful case study. Pairs naturally with the Detective Conan show a short walk away.
Detective Conan Exhibition (명탐정 코난 전시)
Venue: AK PLAZA Hongdae, 4F (AK PLAZA 홍대 4층), 188 Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu
Dates: August 12 – November 29
Marking 30 years of the TV animation, this is a long-run commemorative exhibition rather than a limited pop-up. The format traces the series chronologically, which works if you grew up with Conan and want to hit the nostalgia properly. AK PLAZA Hongdae has several other subculture shops and events in the building, making it easy to make a half-day of it. The back-to-back with Attack on Titan nearby — two very different anime energies — is worth doing on the same visit just to compare how each handles its source material spatially.
Shin Ramyun Bunsik The Factory (신라면분식 더 팩토리)
Venue: Shin Ramyun Bunsik Pop-Up, 52 Seongsui-ro 4-gil, Seongdong-gu
Dates: June 16 – December 16
The longest-running event on this list, and probably the most approachable for international visitors. The format goes beyond eating instant noodles — you’re involved in selecting and combining ingredients yourself, which makes it feel more like an experience than a restaurant visit. The DIY element is easy to follow regardless of language ability. Since this runs until December, it’s a good anchor point when you’re planning a Seongsu day around shorter-run events.

SKIN&LAB Ringer Factory (SKIN & LAB 링거팩토리)
Venue: Seongsu Portal (성수포탈), 16 Yeonmujang 7-gil, Seongdong-gu
Dates: October 3 – October 19
Brand new as of October 3. The concept is mission-based — you work through a sequence of brand interactions and challenges to unlock rewards, rather than just browsing products on shelves. If you find static beauty pop-ups dull, this structure at least gives you something to do. Note: advance reservations may be required — verify the booking process on the official channel before showing up.
Hangeul Day Special Exhibition: “Today We Only Sell Hangeul” (한글날 특별전: 오늘은 한글만 영업합니다)
Venue: The Hyundai Seoul 6F Dudududu Showroom (더현대 서울 6층 두두두 쇼룸), 108 Yeoui-daero, Yeongdeungpo-gu
Dates: October 1 – October 12
Timed to Hangeul Day (October 9) and the 580th anniversary of the Korean script’s creation, this is the most culturally specific event on the list this week. The exhibition treats Hangeul itself as visual design — scale, spacing, and wall composition as exhibition elements rather than just text delivery. For visitors interested in Korean culture beyond food and K-pop, this one offers something genuinely different from the rest of the lineup. Again, same building as the Banksy show. Hit both.
How to Route Your Day
Rather than zigzagging across the city, cluster these by neighborhood:
Seongsu
Start at SKIN&LAB Ringer Factory (remember to book ahead), then walk to Shin Ramyun Bunsik The Factory for lunch or a snack. Beauty mission followed by DIY ramen makes for a satisfying half-day loop.
Hongdae
Attack on Titan Exhibition FINAL and the Detective Conan Exhibition are minutes apart on Yanghwa-ro. Both are animation-focused but tonally opposite. Do them back to back — it’s the most efficient use of a Hongdae afternoon.
Yeouido (The Hyundai Seoul)
BANKSY: Still Here (ALT.1) and the Hangeul Day Special Exhibition (6F) are in the same building. Two completely different vibes — international street art vs. Korean script as cultural artifact — but logistically this is the easiest double-bill on the list.

Insider Tips
Book SKIN&LAB before you go. The source indicates advance reservations are required for the Ringer Factory — don’t assume walk-in works. Check their official social channels the morning of your visit.
Get to Pikachu early in the week. October 11 comes fast, and weekends in that space will be crowded. A weekday morning visit means better access to the photo setups without elbowing past strollers.
Yeouido is the most efficient single-building combo on the list. BANKSY on a lower floor, Hangeul Day Special Exhibition on the 6th — you can do both in two to three hours without ever leaving The Hyundai Seoul. Grab lunch in the food hall between visits.
